Ideal Community
Facilitated by Mrs. Carter
Students created their Ideal Community as they practiced the job of a City Planner. Students had to create a community that had a theme that flowed throughout the whole community. Sustainability and Green living were incorporated into this project. Key parts of this were map creation with clear connection to theme and required content of living dwellings for single and multi family, education, medical, shopping, industry, recreational, public service, and cultural areas included.

Facilitated by Mrs. Carter
Students had to set aside personal needs and wants and empathize with a client’s needs and wants within a design problem. Students explored floor planning, traffic patterns, space organization, and design solutions. Elements and principles of design were applied to come up with an effective design solution. Students had to come up with an approved design solution that met the client’s needs, wants, and budget.
